Disaster Assistance Project
We provide free, legal help for individuals and families harmed by natural and man-made disasters including fires, earthquakes and floods.
We are currently assisting community members impacted by the 2025 LA County fires and windstorms.
FEMA Individual Assistance for 2025 Wildfire survivors has been extended through October 9, 2026, for renters and through July 9, 2027, for homeowners. FEMA recently released information about the extension and clarified that rental assistance and all other kinds of Individuals and Household Program assistance are still available through the relevant deadlines. Please see the FAQ that FEMA recently released: FEMA FAQ RE: Extension
