This is a free event and can be attended virtually or in-person.

NLSLA, Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, & Kilpatrick Townsend will be holding their 2022 Disaster Training Conference, which includes:

1. Four disaster training courses on FEMA and SBA issues and appeals, trauma-informed lawyering, and an overview of the role of “legal first responders” to a disaster (MCLE credit offered)
2. A simulated earthquake response exercise
3. A panel discussion on active advocacy efforts in the California legislature on disaster response, preparedness, and climate-related legislation

The Keynote speaker will be Dr. Lucy Jones, the founder of the Dr. Lucy Jones Center for Science and Society and one of the foremost seismologists in the Country.
