Logan Tiari Brings Unique Strengths to NLSLA Board

Logan Tiari’s journey to becoming an attorney wasn’t a certainty. Growing up in Los Angeles in a working-class family, with his father an Iranian immigrant seeking a better life, Logan never imagined a future in law.

“The idea of working in law was never even considered. My family had no real knowledge of the legal system or how it worked. It felt like so out of reach and foreign,” said Logan.

After high school, Logan ventured to the East Coast to attend Georgetown University. There, his time working at the White House opened his eyes to the transformative power of the law. This newfound passion led him to Vanderbilt for law school. Upon graduating, Logan returned to Los Angeles, married his high school sweetheart, and joined the prestigious law firm O’Melveny & Myers.

At O’Melveny & Myers, Logan’s path crossed with NLSLA through Board Chair Esteban Rodriguez. At O’Melveny, Logan dove into pro bono work and quickly recognized that NLSLA was making an extraordinary impact in L.A.

“I am fortunate to have received a lot of support from the community throughout my life, and it was important to me that I give back,” Logan explained. “When given the chance to join the board of NLSLA, I knew I had to say yes!”

In 2022, Logan made a career leap to Cooley LLP, a powerhouse in technology and new economy law. Soon after joining the NLSLA Board, he found himself thriving, bringing a unique skillset and fresh perspective to the organization.

“NLSLA is the first non-profit Board that I have joined, and I was inspired by the work being done,” Logan remarked. “The work is uniquely compelling because it both impacts individuals profoundly but also influences public policy to benefit all people.”

Logan is proud to contribute his expertise and resources to NLSLA, and eager to elevate its profile, ensuring more people are aware of the incredible work being done.
