Lynne Hiortdahl
Chief Financial Officer
Lynne M. Hiortdahl (she/her) has been a dedicated Non-Profit financial leader for over 25 years. As a CPA, Lynne has brought a wealth of non-profit financial management experience and technical expertise to NLSLA for more than 17 years. Under Lynne’s fiscal leadership, NLSLA expanded the provision of legal services throughout Los Angeles County and grew the annual budget and employee size from under $10 million / 100 employees to nearly $40 million / 225 employees.
Lynne has been a finance leader and resource to the legal aid community as she has mentored and provided guidance to several new legal aid CFOs. Lynne has also been a long-time financial conference planner and instructor and has led numerous non-profit financial and compliance related trainings through the Management Information Exchange (MIE).
Prior to joining NLSLA, Lynne was the Financial Controller for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont in Charlotte, North Carolina. She also worked as an auditor for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP for 5 years specializing in nonprofit accounting, compliance audits and forensic investigations.
Lynne earned her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Greenville. She is a CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1999.
