Nicolas Orihuela is a founding partner of Orihuela Law Firm, P.C. Nick is a graduate of Loyola Law School where he was a Staff Writer and an Articles Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, was the President of La Raza Law Student Association in his second year and the Community Relations Chair in his last year, and where he received the Dean’s Service Award. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Loyola Marymount University having graduated cum laude and with highest honors in the Economics Department. Prior to founding Orihuela Law Firm, P.C., he worked at a prestigious downtown law firm where he litigated multi-million dollar federal and state wage and hour class actions, and practiced employment and business litigation.
Nick has tried multiple employment cases to verdict. In 2013, he was the lead trial lawyer in the federal case of Lindo v. Chipotle Mexican Grill Service Co., LLC where he obtained a total judgment of $378,384. In 2014, he obtained a final arbitration award in the amount of $310,610 in a pregnancy discrimination case. In 2011 he was also the lead trial attorney in the employment jury trial of Sivertson v. Remedial Civil Constructors, Inc. In 2014 he was also the lead trial attorney in the jury trial of Godinez v. Leba, Inc. In 2005, Nick co-tried a jury trial where he and his co-counsel obtained a judgment in the amount of $360,748 in the employment case of Rodriguez v. Taylor’s Prime Steaks.
When Nick is not busy with trial, depositions or arguing motions in court, he enjoys travelling around the world. His favorite destinations are Israel, Uruguay and Japan. He is also an avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan and loves cycling. Nick is fluent in Spanish.
In addition to being a member of the Board of Directors of Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, Nic is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), Mexican American Bar Association (MABA), and Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).
