Neal Dudovitz Honored by County Board of Supervisors
Outgoing Executive Director, Neal Dudovitz was honored for his decades of service to low-income communities at the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors meeting of July 30.
“For more than 40 years Neal has been dedicated to providing meaningful access to justice – he’s an accomplished advocate and a visionary leader,” said Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl. “If the first duty of society is justice than Neal Dudovitz has served as a five-star general.”
Dudovitz received the commendation surrounded by his family. He noted that being a legal aid lawyer was his dream, and he had been fortunate to live his dream for 46 years.
He thanked his family and the NLSLA Board of Directors for their unwavering support over the years. “Most importantly,” he said, “I want to acknowledge the work of the incredible NLSLA staff and the thousands of legal services lawyers I have worked with over the years. They are the true heroes and leaders that every day make a difference in the lives of people living in poverty in Los Angeles.”
